I've read nothing but awful about PTE. Are the reviews all true? Not that I'm even interested, just curious.

I haven't tried it. I was looking at this earlier since I can't upgrade my current iMac OS without rebuying ProTools completely :mad:
 
Even when I was still running Sonar I wasn't a fan of PT. I know it's a professional standard, but in the last few years Logic has picked up an incredible share of the market, because computers are powerful enough that you no longer need the hardware acceleration and processing cards that made PT the choice during the early days of DAW based recording. On top of that, I don't trust Avid as a company and their support is highly lacking.
 
I don't have any complaints with PT9. It had a bit of a learning curve, but pretty much any time you switch from one DAW to another there's going to be a learning curve.

I guess my biggest complaint is that my Firepod isn't exactly compatible with it, so I have to use ASIO4ALL drivers. That's more a Presonus problem than a Pro Tools problem though.
