Martin D-18E 1959 Natural
This Martin D-18E was made in the USA in 1959. This is a very unusual model with stock dearmond dynasonic pickups mounted into the top of the guitar. It was Martin's first attempt to make an electric guitar - and it was not successful. That said this is a high quality instrument, that sounds very good both acoustically and plugged in. On the other hand, the acoustic tone is quite different from a standard D-18 as this guitar is ladder braced. This model was famously used by Kurt Cobain for the Nirvana unplugged recording. They rarely come up for sale. This example has some repaired cracks, and one of the knobs is not original, but overall it is in very nice playing condition. It comes with a non original hard shell case.
