The "ethnic" aisle has a selection of British food. No troll - - this was right next to Aunt Bessie's Spotted Dick. I'm sure the humor wasn't lost on some stock boy. The balls were only $1.99...they feel nice in my mouth, and taste good. They are minty, which I appreciate. I have bought Heinz canned spotted dick before, and they do manufacture a good dick product. I'm not sure how Aunt Bessie's dick tastes as I wasn't willing to pay $5 for it, and I don't usually buy junk food.

Who would eat Spotted Dick? Hell, I won't put the end of a Costco hot dog in my mouth if there's a chance someone will see me.

If you want some great English butter, go to an Indo-Pac grocery. They have all kinds of English foods.

Yeah...spotted dick is actually really good. There's nothing unusual about it. Kinda fruit-cakey tasting, but not that same dense texture. It's a normal cake texture.

I made a Christmas pudding back in October, I'm still eating it occasionally. It keeps getting better and better. I actually didn't care for the taste of it all that much when I first ate it back in December, the brandy was still too strong in it.
 
The nice thing is that once you've gone through the dick and you're onto the balls, at least they're minty and freshen your breath a bit.
