Today an issue of Rolling Stone magazine shows up in the mail addressed to my wife.

She has no recollection of ever subscribing. I do the quick google and it turns out that when you buy concert tickets from LiveNation, they have a very easily missed checkbox you have to unselect to opt out of subscribing to Rolling Stone for a year.

Fuckers...why are ticket services always such scumbags

Don't worry - when the settlement from the borderline illegal activity comes down, you'll get some free ticket vouchers that will be eligible to be used for about .0031% of LN shows.

I'm still trying to figure out how I got a subscription to Esquire (which I got cancelled) or the ESPN magazine (which I kept). I wasn't billed for either of them.

Motherfucker. THAT is why I'm receiving these Rolling Stone issues? I thought it was just some scam where they send me free issues and then try to bill me later.

I'm fucking livid.

I bet they know this is a scam and will cancel it at no cost to you if you call and raise hell.
