New Lesson - Lessons on Time and Rhythm guitar added to the new lesson site this morning

Thanks Mark. I tend to get lazy and try to do it all in my head, which seldom works for long. I need to practice this basic skill more often until it becomes habit.

I really try to get my students to build a muscle memory of how it feels to be subdividing evenly...thats what works best for me.
 
My problem is it takes me into drumming territory. I have enough trouble working 2 hands with fingers. Add a foot that I have to keep track of, and something else usually gives.:mad:

It's all a matter of working the various coordinations individually. I usually have people learn to clap rhythms with the metronome before they try playing them on the instrument. If you do it slow enough it eventually comes together.
