Kick Henry Jackassowski
Gibson is doing a new Joan Jett sig model. This time it’s a 339 with an AAA figured top. The black binding is a cool touch. Anyway:

Huh. She’s left-handed but plays right-handed.

I'm surprised at how many lefties play right handed. My Dad did... the most famous ones are probably Joe Perry, Mark Knopfler, Duane Allman and Gary Moore.

Even Elvis Costello and Billy Corgan did too, but who cares about those guys! :howie:

I'm left handed, and I play right. It's not surprising, really. When I starting dinking around with guitars, all that were about were right handed guitars - so that's what I started with. That's probably true of most lefty guitar players.

Oh, we should mention Waddy Wachtel - yet another leftie who plays right.

Yeah back in the day I think it was tough to find left handed guitars. If you start off playing that way the muscle memory just develops differently, and it's normal for you.

Hendrix didn't do that though, he stuck to playing the "left handed" way and flipped his guitar upside down and it looked cool as hell!

I think lefty guitars are still pretty hard to find in stores today. Go into a big store and you might find a couple, but you still can’t try out ten left handed strats to find the right one. I guess you could just keep ordering and returning to Musicians Friend until you get one you like.

MAB too, and if I'm not mistaken - also Steve Morse.

I knew a lefty who played left-handed, but learned how to play a few chords right-handed, so he can still play something if a left-handed guitar is not available.

Yup, forgot about Morse.

And of course there's Michael Angelo Batia who plays with both simultaneously. Not terribly musical but pretty impressive.

I'm a lefty, I think. I use my right hand to write. Born in a time when parents were worried there was something wrong with their kid if it used it's left hand. Everything I learned later in life, left handed is just more natural to me. Like shoot a gun. I even kick a football left footed. As far as guitars, there are a bunch in my house because son and they are all right handed. Right handed just seems ass backwards to me. I do a tiny bit better on bass because at least I don't have a pick in the wrong hand.

Nice looking guitar.
I think Irk Emmet is another lefty that plays right handed.
