Jimmy Smith, best boxer in the world you've never heard of

Damn that was something.

Excuse my ignorance, but how do you have a professional debut with a 3-0 record.

It was his amateur record....he won three amatuer events and turned pro.....this mighta been his last fight :embarrassed:

I love the announcers...." it looks like he's having an epileptic fit there"..." like some kinda weird bird coming in"

Watched Mike Tyson on Friday night fights for 2 months before the rest of the planet caught on. That was the most incredible thing I ever saw in boxing. I don’t know what you call the above.

lol i am not sure i could name one current boxer at any level. i didnt even realize it was still a thing to be honest.

At least Jimmy Smith lasted longer than Miranda Adkins.

That 5 - 0, 5 KO record for Miranda Adkins before the fight has to be utter bullshit, just to get this fight. I watched one of her MMA bouts she was in, and Adkins has no idea how to fight, let alone to win 5 times, all by knockout.

Never knew the amatuer record counted to that. Thanks for the lesson.

It likely wouldn’t be mentioned at all, other than for professional debuts. Only real exception would be for amateur athletes with astounding Olympic-level records who are late going pro.
I know you're a boxing aficionado....what is your assesment of jimmy's technique? what would you call his boxing style?
