JHS fooled the world

So, he sells amps he makes too. Expensive amps. Is this some kind of spoof or coming clean under the vail of humor.

Haven’t gotten to watch all yet.
 
IDK if you really could expect anyone to notice considering this ain't the JHS amp show.

Personally, it doesn't really change how I view the value of any of the pedal tones from the vids.

I don’t think that’s the point. The point is people say Kemper/Helix/Fractal aren't as good sounding as tube amps. He did a years worth of shows using one and nobody noticed. If they sounded worse, people should have noticed and they didn’t.

eh, that's still a big stretch of an expectation in this context, imo

IDK if you really could expect anyone to notice considering this ain't the JHS amp show.

Since his amps aren’t for sale anywhere now I guess it was a good time to come clean. Production I to resume in 2023.

My point was he was selling these amps for a bit and he demoed pedals placing them on top the amp saying my signal is this but didn’t mention the amp. It’s just there. Better or worse, the amps were just there. Didn’t say it was or was not the amp but he was selling the $2600 amp at the time. That would be a sticking point to me if I had bought that amp.

Why? You’re listening to a guitar, through a pedal and into an amp. Most of the time it’s one pedal and it may be a delay or reverb which really wouldn’t impact that amp’s ‘tone’. It’s not like he’s only demoing fuzz pedals that radically change the sound of your amp.

it’s also not the JHS pedal show, it’s the JHS show, so I guess you don’t notice the pedal sounds either :grin:

If he was selling them at one time I've never seen it and have been subscribe for a couple of years. At any rate, he hasn't been marketing any amplifier for a very long time, so I really don't see your point.

Those amps are made by Milkman and we’re only sold through Sweetwater. I can’t remember him ever marketing them on the show either.

I knew they were made by someone else, he said so in the video, but I thought DinoMike knew more than I did. I haven't followed JHS for long.
