Jersey Girl homemade guitars are :

KazG - All Design, Woodworking, Inlay works, Making Pickups and set up.

Akiko Oda - All Painting works, Finishing works and Inlay works.

Eiko Goto - Making Strap
 
The only thing I'm not sold on with that is the pickups. I'd prefer a nicely detailed surround with something standard dropped in that can be changed to taste.
 
Not bad, but I'm a fan of their guitars, at least based on specs and aesthetically speaking as I've never had the opportunity to play one. This one is a little too normal for my liking, like they want in on the LP market. I can easily lose an hour checking out their Web site, so I won't go there to find ones I like better, but there are quite a few. I respect that their doing something unique and I really dig their indigenous design. They are my favorite functional art guitars.
 
There's a lot going on with that guitar...and yeah, the pickups are on the weird side. Overall, I like it. :shrug:
 
Those are the most bizarre pickups I've ever seen, I'd love to hear how they sound. Only the treble side pole pieces are exposed.

It's odd, but I like it.
The compensated nut is something I've never seen before. I'm not sure it serves a purpose, but it looks cool.

That's not difficult, since their website is extremely slow. :lol:

I do agree with you saying they are as much art as instruments, that's probably why I like them. Besides the fact that they managed to design a headstock that is different from the standard Gibson one that looks appropriate and isn't ugly :thu:
