This year is less demanding than last year. I sat out the NCAD Conference in August. On Friday Sept. 11, I will leave school after my 12:30 class and drive to Cape Cod for the Cape Cod Symposium on Addictive Disorders, better known as CCSAD. Our professional association always has a table there, and we have a meeting there as well. The meeting is scheduled for Friday at 4
0, so I need to hustle that day. The conference ends on Sunday. On October 9th I will drive to the NAADAC Conference in Washington DC, which is actually in Bethesda. I am doing a poster presentation there, plus I have to attend the all-day board meeting there as well. I will also probably do a book signing there. That conference runs through the 13th, so my students will have to suffer with a couple of cancelled classes.
I have presentation proposals in for all three conferences next year, so we'll see what happens.
