Seems like Neil Young struck again.

A slimmer Stills

I didn't even know there was a Buffalo Springfield reunion so I guess I shouldn't be disappointed that the tour didn't continue. Would have liked to have seen that, though.

Those two have the damndest relationship. They get together, work together a bit, and Neil Young wanders off. Steve Stills gets pissed off. They bad-mouth each other. Then they repeat the whole cycle. Over and over again.

His first two solo albums are among my all-time favorites. Listen to 'Just Roll Tape' sometime. Stills and an acoustic guitar with songs he just had to get down on tape that would one day evolve into some of his best. Nice to hear them in raw form.
Supposedly some previously unreleased Stills playing with Jimi is about to be made public. Im looking forward to that.

I saw CSN up here in 2004. Kinda trippy as Lance Armstrong and Sheryl Crow (right before the engagement announcement) were taking it in with the Dalai Lama about 75 feet away from me. I might see CSN again, but would really prefer to if Neil was involved. I would have loved to have seen this reunion.

Jimi Hendrix played on your first solo album and you two were very good friends. What was he like to work and to be with?

He was really gentle and sweet and articulate. But he had the same as all of us Asperger’s kids. His attention span would be on what he was doing or what he was thinking about. He was just a beautiful, beautiful guy.

He just throws this Asperger's thing out with no further explanation. Is this common knowledge? I must have missed the memo.

I'd never heard that about either of them before. I've known a couple people with Asperger's and have a hard time believing that either Stills or Hendrix had the disorder, given the fact that one of the main symptoms is that they are uncomfortable in social situations.
Although if you saw Monterey Pop, you'd know Steve Stills can be an asshole in social situations.

I'm thinking that the Asperger's thing is a way to try to explain behavior. I doubt that he has been officially diagnosed.

For some reason, I've seen combinations of CSNY more than any other single act. Not planned, just happened.
Can't say I've seen a bad show, either.
The most recent I saw was just C&N. No Stills. Although Dean Parks did a great job of playing guitar, I would have liked to have heard some SS songs in the set.

That and Asperger's syndrome is like the others on the autism spectrum, it is a spectrum. Some people with it are very severe and some are very mild.
