if you mean a Dan, a friend had one in the 80's, and yea it was heavy, but it wasn't impossible.I played one of those that a friend had in the late 80's.... I felt like it needed to be mounted to a stand so you could just walk up to it and play it instead of wearing it on a strap.

one of my first "good" amps was a '68~'70 Sunn Coliseum PA head, exactly like the one Leslie West used at Woodstock., 200 WRMS !!!My guess is, it was an Ampeg. Back in the day we had Selmer, Ludwig, Ampeg, Crown, and EV all in our area. Many of the musicians I played with were the kids of these music executives. For much of High School I had a 6x10 ampeg cabinet with tube bass head that I would output my little marshall combo into and then shake the entire fucking house.
