Interesting Guitar Build

Those derelict parts are gonna come to life when the feel teh power of the pickups goading them to laser the eyeballs of your audience. Lawsuit waiting to happen.

probably would be similar to the Dan Armstrong lucite guitars.
still, it looks pretty cool, to me.

I played one of those that a friend had in the late 80's.... I felt like it needed to be mounted to a stand so you could just walk up to it and play it instead of wearing it on a strap. :embarrassed:

if you mean a Dan, a friend had one in the 80's, and yea it was heavy, but it wasn't impossible.
wouldn't want it hanging on my shoulder for the full gig, tho.

My guess is, it was an Ampeg. Back in the day we had Selmer, Ludwig, Ampeg, Crown, and EV all in our area. Many of the musicians I played with were the kids of these music executives. For much of High School I had a 6x10 ampeg cabinet with tube bass head that I would output my little marshall combo into and then shake the entire fucking house. :lmbo:

one of my first "good" amps was a '68~'70 Sunn Coliseum PA head, exactly like the one Leslie West used at Woodstock., 200 WRMS !!!
talk about heavy......wow.

All of the old stuff was always so big and heavy... got tired of carrying around a pair of EV folded horns, so one of them became a "table" on it's side in my rehearsal space... and the other we would turn sideways to make a riser or backline whenever we could. :baimun:
