What's the line right before Dixie Cups?

I've been to 3 different song lyrics sites, and each one is different.

sing365 has - "I got pudding pie, banana, dixie cups"

lyricsfreak has "I got bim bam banana pops, dixie cups"

azlyrics has "I got good lemonade, ah, dixie cups"

???

Bim Bam Banana? Shouldn't Ben & Jerry's do a Bim Bam Banana flavor?

This VH fan site claims it is actually....

Ice Cream Man
Ice Cream Man is the tenth track on Van Halen.

The acoustic intro on this John Brim penned, Elmore James recorded, was performed by David Lee Roth. He played the intro live on a variety of acoustic/electric guitars tuned to open E. On rare occasions he would pull out his infamous Dave-sickle (as pictured), a steel-string acoustic/electric that looked like a giant ice cream bar.

For over 20 years fans wondered about the lyrics of this song. Speculation about one line in the song led to dozens of theories. The mystery was cleared up by the band in 1999. Dave is actually singing, “I got puddin’ pie banana, dixie cups, all flavors and pushups too.”

yea....i was pretty sure it WAS NOT "bim bam banana"......that makes no sense, and do NOT see DLR singing that.....

I didn't even know the song was a cover. The Elmore James/Brim version says 'ice cream sandwich, popsicles, all flavors and pushups too', so it isn't a match of the reported VH lyrics. The original is much slower and you can hear the lyrics pretty clearly.

I always thought the VH version said "I got pink lemonade, dixie cups, all flavors..."

We'll let me call Diamond Dave and ask him............

Dave said " be dooba do bop, dip di dup, ahhhh sho bop ah sho bop de bop, and throw in a she doop de lu bop. Hahahaha".

So I don't think he knows what the line is either.

I've listened to a few live versions and a version he did for Diamond Dave and he's singing "pudding pie, banana".

I thought you meant Matchbox 20, and was very confused.

and you've just given me a fantastic idea!
