burnt toast
Not much a Ibanez/shredder/ floyd guitar guy but I really like this one!

eek2 That's a lot of frets!

Surprisingly affordable as well and coming in around $700.

Meh.

I'd be happy if we could collectively reach a gentleman's agreement to no longer play above the 15th fret.

Actually, if you go up to the very highest fret, and bend up a half step, it becomes a very effective dog whistle. So it's dual purpose. You guys just can't appreciate that.

I rarely go past the 12th fret. That cutaway and extra frets would be useless for me.

I'm afraid I might poke an eye out on one of the cut aways.

If they had curbed in the lower cutaway, instead of it being ridiculously long, it might actually look decent.

In my youth I was of the notion that an electric guitar that suited my needs required 24 frets and a wide range and tuning stable vibrato (initially Floyd types, but the PRS system won me over on the need to not need a wrench to change strings). I used to draw guitars all of the time, including something that looked remarkably like the Hamer Californian about three years before it existed. So the 27-fret thing appealed on a certain level. Now 19 to 22 frets are fine, but I prefer to be able actually access them all.

Anyway, this guitar serves not practical purpose in the world of music, but the dog whistle thing seems viable...with a Whammy pedal!
