I know most of you aren't Sports Ball fans... but Notre Dame Fighting Irish!!!

Holy Shit what a night!!!

ND's best running back, Jeremiyah Love, was banged up in the playoff game against Indiana and was wearing a knee brace all week. He said he was going to be okay for game time but was not going to be jumping over anyone (which he's done like 5 times this year, but is also how he got injured)

But props to this coach... Marcus Freeman.

When Brian Kelly left Notre Dame days before a bowl game to take a big paycheck, put on a fake accent, and coach down at LSU... Marcus stepped up and coached ND to a bowl game victory. Administration was smart enough to see how well the players responded to him and made him the head coach.

He doesn't just coach sports guys to win at a game... he inspires everyone in the locker room, all of the coaching staff... and honestly every single fan... when he speaks about belief in yourself, trust in those around you, and having the heart to pick yourself up at the lowest of lows and move forward. When the team lost to an unranked MAC team in week 2, there were people screaming for Marcus's job... but he used that as fuel to motivate this team. Even as starters and veterans kept falling out of the roster with injuries, each reserve came in with the passion that they were a first string and the team has their back.

Absolutely buzzing all morning... so excited and proud of our City and our Team!!! :baimun:

Great game last night. ND is one of those teams that I've always disliked, primarily primarily because of their exclusive TV deal that had them on every Saturday even when the sucked (e.g. Jerry Faust era). However, I quite like their new coach and QB. Given that I dislike OSU and TX just as much, if not more, I think I'm pulling for ND to win it all now. Go figure....

I'm not a ND fan but congratulations to them for overcoming their turn overs and capitalizing on PS's.

How many neon pointy guitars would I need to get you to take BK back?

I caught the highlights. Quite a game. I was hoping Penn State would win.

Now, time for the Longhorns to win...

That is a man who has left Saginaw Valley in a lurch for a paycheck to go to Cincinnati....

... then left the Cinci Bear Cats in a lurch before a bowl game to come to ND.

Then bailed on ND before a bowl game to go for that SEC paycheck.

Fool me once... but three times? Nah bro. :helper:

With NIL and an unlimited transfer portal I am no longer in the least interested in college football. "Student athlete" my ass...

oh dear f'ing gawd.
i've got 2 frothing at the mouth OSU fans in my office, one who grad'd from there.
and a ND fan who wears an ND pendant (woman).
i have heard nothing all day except about this game.
(i went to PSU, so i don't GARA)

@mongooz when we were in New Orleans, several of the Georgia fans in our hotel commented how polite all of the ND fans were.

They said that Alabama fans are usually so obnoxious… and I said “I get it… we have to deal with Ohio State fans.” :lmbo:

i have to deal with OSU fans AND UM fans here in T-town. it's fucking obnoxious.

I dislike ND so much that I was considering taking a continuing education class at Northern Illinois University despite the fact that the campus is about 60 miles from my house.:):):)

I like the concept of the CFP, but it's dragging on too long IMO. The long breaks between the last rounds have really caused a lot of folks to lose interest, unless you're in the green or red zone in that map. For the rest of us, it's like, "oh yeah, that's still going on". I'd like to see them change the format so the games stay on a weekly schedule like the NFL.

Yeah, it was a tough one for sure... but I think they had a very respectable season and just got overpowered at the end.
