What a thrill! My wife got me a Richard Petty driving experience for Father's Day and today was the day. My father, oldest son, and 2 friends attended. It was absolutely amazing and I highly recommend it even if you dislike NASCAR.

The car was severely limited. Governor set a 5k rpm which put me at 155.6mph.
I did 5 laps. 1st lap was warm up at probably 120 or so, 3 full speed laps, and then a half lap at full speed and the other half on the apron at about 90 into pit row. It was high adrenaline, high anxiety, maximum fun! The car essentially drives itself thanks to the 31 degree banking.

I just want to point out how much I look like an actual NASCAR driver. Time to reassess my look. Lol.

Awesome! I have always wanted to do that.


My brother is the Daytona Beach area. So I have done the tour of the track, but that isn't nothing like driving it.
 
Do you know what package you were on? There's like 8 different pricepoints, the more driving, the more expensive.
 
That’s awesome man!

I got to do it about ten years ago at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. A vender took a bunch of their customers out there. Really fun.
 
Cool. Limited to 155 is still really, really fast. That sounds like a heck of a good time.
