Susie Q was my gateway into the palm muted bass thing you get into at the end here. If this video does well for you, that could make a nice follow-up. Then lead into improvising while maintaining a bass pulse. I dabbled with it for twenty years, and it just recently clicked and has changed just about everything I do on guitar--even if I'm playing something that's been on the setlist for a decade, I'm hybrid picking it, it at least in position to hybrid pick.

Thats also a thought. I might explore that this week and see if it's something I want to do.OK, apologies for continuing to gnaw on the bone, but it's the first week of school and I can't turn my lesson planning brain off.
