How do you power your pedalboard?

I suppose specifically I'm wondering what you do when you have more than 8 pedals, since 8 seems to be the typical limit of a power supply. I have ten pedals and a BB Supacharger then I just plug the other two in using 9V adapters. Do people use two power units? Any special way to set that up?

Kemper remote doesn't require separate power.

Voodoo labs pedal power II+ when I was using pedals.

If you have a few drive pedals you could daisy chain them as they don't require much juice.

On the giant homemade wooden board that stays in one place I have a couple of older VLs, an 8 out and a 5 out just stuck to the top, everything individually powered and a mess of unsecured cables, lol, for easy swapping of pedals in and out. Set up for multiple amps w/a Radial 4 way splitter. The 8 out has an AC plug in the back that I can plug the 5 out into so only one power cord goes to the power strip.

I have a couple of budget Pedaltrain style angled boards from Amazon, a kinda med size(+/-12"x15") and a larger one(+/-15"x20"). The large has a new thinner VL that has 8 isolated 9v 200ma outs that will power any pedal I have, plus 3-4 more with a daisy chain depending on power requirements. The other smaller board has something very similar from Donner. Neither of these boards have ever actually taken final form because I really don't have a gig for them. So far I've just played around with various combinations when Im bored.

What Ive actually been taking out anywhere is a couple of small flat boards that hold 4-6 pedals in a line. Im powering them with a Joyo Tuner that has an 8 output power supply built in, so I dont have to try to fit something underneath or waste top space. Joyo claims each is fully isolated but I somehow kinda doubt that. Regardless I've had no issues with it powering 4-5 more pedals, and the tuner has a nice big bright display. One is set up for bass and the other for like a quick jam at a friends house or other situation where I dont need many pedals, like backing up a singer songwriter at an open mic. I'll stick on an amp sim pedal and set this one on the table if I decide to record direct.
I actually have a 3rd little flat board that Im thinking about turning into a board just for fuzz. Heck they are only 20 bucks or so online with a bag and velcro. Got this older little tiny cheapo Amazon power supply thingy I think will power 4-5 fuzzes just fine.

I have one Godlyke wall wart powering these 14 pedals plus the A/B box.

So I'm hearing it's fine to daisy chain a few pedals (maybe my overdrives and distortion). That might take care of my issues since I'm only over by a few pedals.

You can chain a few together if you pay attention to the draw in milliamps that each pedal has. I would try to isolate as many as possible, though. I have a Strymon Zuma for my big board, voodoo lab 4x4 for my medium board and a CIOKS Adam for my small one.

OK, I thought the godlyke was just slang for like really powerful. Didn't realize it was an actual brand.

I'm leaning toward a second power supply in part because that might give me an excuse to have two pedalboards if it turns out I don't really need it. But I'm also cheap and looking at the Donner DP-1. I've never bought anything from Donner, though, so I have no idea what's going on there. Anyone with any experience (and I don't really have the budget for something in the Strymon range).

Well the two old Voodoo Labs, a Pedal Power 2+ and a ISO5, are probably 15 and 10 yrs old respectively and are still going strong. Their only downside is they are bulky and heavy, but they're built like a tank. They do use an older tech than the new lightweight skinny ones and its said they aren't a quiet as the newer tech. Given its done properly of course. The cheap Chinese stuff like Donner being so cheap tho its hard to believe they don't cut any corners somewhere.
I got a VL 8x and a Donner DP-1 not too long ago but I havn't used them enough to have any idea of the performance or durability of either. The VL seems to have a higher quality casing and transformer/wall plug arrangement, but then again its at least 3-4x the price of the Donner with fewer outputs. I have a couple of the cheapo Donner mini pedals. They've worked for several years. I've got this tiny cheap plasticky little Amazon no name 8 out 100ma 9v thingy I've had for almost 10 years and its still works. Its at least as quiet as a long power strip and a bunch of wall warts, and way more compact. What can I say?
But right now Im sold on the Joyo Tuner/Power supply. Used it on one little board and like it so much I bought a second. It has 6 100ma and 2 200ma 9v outputs. Claims to be fully isolated but at the price of under 100 bucks for a tuner and power supply I kinda doubt that part. But still, it works flawlessly.

There are dozens of brands on Amazon, Ebay THAT SAY they are isolated but, ARE NOT. None of them have individual transformers for each output like the ones that cost 4 times as much. Looks like the Donner has individual voltage regulators for each output and one guy says that helps.

From questions for DP1 on Amazon:

Guess you could try it, send it back.

Already mentioned you could daisy chain dirt pedals, EP Booster need 5 ma so you still have 95 ma available from one output. Worth mentioning what you daisy chain is important. Digital pedals/time based like delay, chorus, reverb somehow dirty up the electricity they are plugged into. Overdrives, boosts, distortion pedals can amplify that and pass it on into the signal. So if you separate them- separate outputs from Voodoo Lab or, two cheaper power supplies or, one cheaper power supply and one wall wart... you should be good.

My local shop has a VL used for 120 bucks...if it's still there next month I might take the plunge. Until then I think I'll stick with my SupaCharger and a couple singles. I'm not good with pedal noise anyway so I don't think I need a noisy supply making my already terrible set up any worse.

I used one VL Pedal Power (ver 1) for 20+ years. And I did daisy chain 2-3 pedals off of a couple outlets (most distortions/fuzz use less than 10mA each).

Now I have one Cioks DC-10 and one Cioks AC-10 because I need the AC for an original Whammy II.
