How do you eat your Pasties? W/ketchup or w/gravy?

Seems like the correct answer if you are a Pasty aficianado is w/ketchup, if you put anything on them at all. Which means all of you who say you shouldn't put ketchup on anything are wrong :embarrassed:

plain....if you need to condiment up your pastie, your pastie sucks.
I worked with a Yooper lady back in the late '90s-mid '00s until she retired [passed away a couple of years ago :( ]. She would bring pasties in to work occasionally. If I had one to take home and eat it the next day, they would dry out a bit when you nuked them in the microwave. So I would put some A-1 steak sauce on them, they tasted great that way : )

And yes, I live under The Bridge, so I am a troll :embarrassed:

I haven’t even seen a pasty since I moved away from the East Coast. There just aren’t enough Muslims in Boulder for anyone to bother selling halal pasties.

I've only eaten them twice. Once with gravy, once unadorned. My own ethnicity's variation on savory what-have-you wrapped in pastry (the pig in the blanket) is just fine with ketchup.

We had them all the time when I was a kid. I think they're best with melted butter, salt and pepper.
