This Teye La Perla, ser# FS-10, features countless hand-cut pieces of abalone and mother-of-pearl that adorn the front of this guitar, as well as hand engraved headstock, bridge & tailpiece, pickguard, pickup rings, switch surround, & backplate featuring Teye’s famous dragon engraving. Inspired by that wonderful English Luthier that was Teye’s friend and mentor, the Teye ‘La Perla™’ takes things several steps further in looks, playability, and tone.

I'm going to be the odd man out on this one. I love that guitar. I almost bought a Chinese copy of that model.
 
There's a lot of parts of that it I think are lovely, but put all together in guitar form, it's just WAAAY too much.

I could imagine some of those individual elements looking very very cool on a more "normal" guitar, though.
 
Meh. Not only are the appointments over the top for my tastes, I've never cared for that sqeezed in Zematis-style LP look.

Agree on both counts. It has some cool pieces but I don't like the package at all.
 
Funny seeing the responses to this one. I remember this guitar.....I was the guy that did the inlays on it when I worked for that company. When I close my eyes I can still smell the odor of abalone dust.
