Congrats! Thats a really fun age.

But having a 1 year old doesnt make you old. Being 43 makes you old. :embarrassed:

congrats cute kid

old hardly, I'm old well maybe, its just an age number I guess

Cute! Our Sophia will be one in about 6 weeks. Its amazing how fast the time flies at this age...

My oldest will turn 3 in November; I was 21 when she was born. I definitely feel older than most people in my age group, and I feel about 20 years older than people who are 5 years younger.

You have been through a lot more than most people in your age group. When I was your age I was single, unattached, and living in Spain. And not particularly mature...

My youngest is 13 BTW.....

But if you were on a train leaving point "A" at 30 mph and your daughter was on a car leaving point "B" and hour later but was traveling at 55 mph what time would you arrive in Cincinnati?

Seriously, though...I am always amazed at your maturity for someone your age considering I could barely eat with a fork and knife much less start a Doctoral program while starting a family in my mid-20's.

The irony is that while I'm juggling a doctoral program and a family, I do struggle with the fucking fork and knife. Things are starting to look up on that front though.

FWIW, I consider myself a lucky guy, and I'm happy to have what I have, but I've yet to be convinced that premature maturity is something to be valued.

There's always the chance that I'm going to be burnt out in 10 years, and will wish that I'd been able to spend this time being childless and living in Spain.

I actually worked really hard on the wrong part of my career and really wasted my 20's. When I turned 30 I got some travel gigs, had fun and realized that I had nothing really to show for the previous decade except some nice old amps. Try and enjoy it while you're there.

My early 20s are a drunken blur. :embarrassed:

I met Mrs. P when I was 23, graduated from college later that year, got a job at the bank when I was 24, we got married when I was 25, Mrs. P graduated from college when I was 26, we bought our house when I was 27. We're celebrating our 9th anniversary on Wednesday. Our dogs are almost 7 years old. :(

(No puppy pictures of Sadie since she was full grown when we got her.)

If your social security number is "01" your pretty old.

Cute kid - I like the high-chair he is sporting in the second photo - Sure beats the block of wood I had to sit on as a kid at the table.

My oldest is 15 in 15 days.
