Here's what I spent the first hour of my workday doing:

Jeremy

Also no borders.
Building a pedal board for the other guitarist in my band. :) My boss told me to go ahead and do it on clock time since I wasn't going to have anything else for a while anyway.

It's a big one. 18" x 24". It stands 3.5" tall at the rear, which puts it at 11.2 degrees calculated angle, I didn't check the actual but I assume it's close to that. Its all made from .055" stock except the support in the rear center, that's .074", since that's what I could find in the scrap hopper at the time.

I'm pretty happy with the results, especially considering that my entire experience with TIG welding has been "here's this machine with a gun on the end and some metal. see if you can figure this out." And only a few times at that.

Thanks guys! Fabian's very happy with it. Though I'm still not sure what stage we're likely to play that'll fit an 18 x 24 pedalboard lol.

Needs slots or holes for power supply and patch cable chafing.

How's that "steel guitar" coming?

He's supposed to mark some places for that, so I can take it in and use the drill press to avoid the hacked up, weird angle shit that comes from trying to do that with a handheld drill. :embarrassed:

This was actually a bit of a dry run for that, actually. I used the same thickness stock for this as I intend to use for the steelcaster, and as it turns out I can weld it just fine, much to my surprise. :embarrassed:

I want to amass the parts first, that way I don't have an excuse to throw it in a box in the closet. I'm working on figuring out what I want to use component-wise now, I plan to make the order(s) in the next week or two. :)

Not particularly. I mean, it's heavier than my wood and carpet one, but not too heavy. I'll see if I can find a scale and weigh it when I get home.
