To compare relative speed and acceleration of 4 distinctly different "fast" cars.... they had a Golf R (a hot hatch capable of running neck and neck with 90's Lambos and Ferraris with 4 second 0-60 runs) start first with 300 feet to get up to highway speed by the time it meets the stationary EV record holder, the Lucid Air, and the new Corvette ZR1-X.
Those two thousand horsepower monsters launch together.... and just to show supercar all-wheel drive acceleration vs fast 2 wheel drive accelleration... a BMW M2 takes off at the same time 300 feet already up the track and begins spinning its tires.
Crazy. You need to watch it a couple times.... in slow motion to absorb everything that happens in those few seconds.
