Guitarist Stereotypes

Help!I'maRock!

Mediocringly Derivative
Blooze Lawyers - go one of two directions. they either play $5000 Gibsons & PRS without a scratch on them. or they play brand new Fenders that look like they were in a demolition derby.

Snorkeldicks - some overlap with the Blooze Lawyers, but generally have more money than sense. should quit their whining and just buy a Gibson. after all, it's what they really want.

Strat Players - Hendrix wannabe's. this includes SRV.

Tele Players - Neanderthals who don't understand the concept of intonation.

Gibson Players - have never seen a bad Gibson because they refuse to pull their heads out of their asses

who'd i miss?

Tele Players - Neanderthals who don't understand the concept of intonation. Only with traditional saddles...

*Neanderthal grunt*

How about indie guitarists? Intentionally playing shitty or unconventional gear solely to be different.

Strats suck! See Avatar... Tele with intonation... I know, pussy... :cheese:

tele with intonation:

Some more:

1. 7 string guitars - only good for nu-metal

2. Gretsches - only good for rockabilly, oldies rock 'n roll, and Chet Atkins-style country.

3. Rickenbackers - everybody knows they can only do jangle

Hey I play a Strat and I have a Tele with traditional saddles and.........Um.......Welllllllll.

I guess your right I'm a Neanderthal Hendrix wanna be.

I have a 1000 dollar Strat, a 700 dollar amp, and at least 1200 bucks worth of pedals on the floor...... Hendrix isn't my idol, nu-metal sucks, and my tone is better than yours. Who am I?

Floyd Rose lovers: Play 80's glam/hair rock and love squealie pinch harmonics.
Oh wait, I think that's true.....

George Van Eps would like a word with you.

I DIDN'T say I agreed with the stereotypes I posted! In fact, I get VERY fruxstrated with them, because I believe the exact opposite of those stereotypes. I use my Ric (and my Gretsches when I had them) for metal. I play fusion with my 7-string (along with the heaviest of metal. I wish I could afford a Gretsch George Van Epps, 7-string guitar, but they haven't been made in over 30 years, and were never very common as it is. So I can't afford the big chunk 'o change I'd need to buy one. BUT, I am keeping an eye out for this:

It's a Schecter Jazz 7, 7-string guitar. They haven't been made in a few years, but they occasionally show up for sale. I'd actually prefer it to my Strat-style Squier Stagemaster 7. I suffer from serious Strat fatigue.
