I kinda dig it - it would be a fun stage guitar (but I'd never actually buy it). Plus, it has "Alumitone" pickups, so it's gotta sound awesome.

i really want to try one of these just to try one. they've been around for a while and i've never seen one. between the body and the twisted radius neck, it's at least a really cool idea.

I kind of like that. I wouldn't want it as my only guitar, but I'd love to have one for gigs. :embarrassed:

I twisted my neck last night, hurts like a s.o.b.
this guitar is wacky, so of course I like it.

never heard of the Alumitone pups, what's the scoop on those?

Luddite.

From Lace:
This radical departure from pickup design is aluminum based, rather than copper. Result: less resistance, higher output coupled to a "current driven design" as opposed to conventional voltage based pickups.

The aluminum water jet cut exoskeleton is then matted to a micro winding using 90% less fine copper wire, a low impedance/high impedance pickup is then created.

Sonic Evaluation
More bass then traditional single coils, more volume, mids are slightly more then conventional pickups. Highs are clear yet smooth, nicely equalized.

I've played em a time or two. Very full range with enough bass to rattle windows.
Some complain they are "sterile" sounding. I didn't hear that, but they are very clean.
I bet modellers and effects junkies will love em, though. They seem to let the character of your amp/rig really shine without adding a lot of "flavor" of their own.
