I should really like that but I don't. I tried a few Collings electrics at NAMM last year and they seemed fairly sterile.

for the money I'd try one before a new LP standard, though.
 
With that wood grain that color is almost a crime. Something that allows the real wood to come through, or at least a light shade would be much better.

But I don't mind the body shape and given the Collings pedigree I'd love to try one out.

i love the color.

i've only ever played one Collings, and wasn't blown away. still, i'd like to check it out.
 
I really like the finish...stained black, then light grain filler under the gloss...really different and cool...

I have mixed feelings about that one. It actually reminds me of the old Silvertone guitar a friend of mine had. God, I loved that guitar.
