Created from laminated flame maple back and sides with a solid, arched spruce top, the A-150 Savoy has the look and feel of a vintage instrument. And the tone is as warm and inviting as you'd expect, courtesy of a specially-voiced DeArmond[SUP]®[/SUP] 1000 floating pickup. White binding on the body and fretboard enhances the old-school look. For rich, vibrant, jazzy tones, it's hard to beat the value in the Guild A-150 Savoy hollowbody electric guitar.

Based on a '50s classic
The A-150 Savoy is reminiscent of the late-'50s Guild orchestra model, a classic hollowbody electric guitar. Boasting a body made of laminated flame maple and solid spruce, and combined with a special DeArmond pickup, the A-150 Savoy is everything you'd expect from a vintage jazz box.

Rich tone from a custom-voiced DeArmond floating pickup
Popular from the '30s through the '60s, DeArmond pickups were a very popular choice for amplifying acoustic hollowbody guitars. The A-150 Savoy sports a custom-voiced DeArmond 1000 floating pickup in the neck position, and it's got the warm, smoky glow you've heard on countless jazz recordings.

3-piece neck for long-lasting playability
Multi-piece necks are stronger and more rigid than single-piece necks, resisting twisting and warping over the years. Treat it well, and you'll get a lifetime of exceptional playability from the Guild A-150 Savoy hollowbody.

Don't want to know the price but definitely would.

Edit: wait... volume is attached to the pickguard and I would probably end up removing the pickguard. Maybe not. :(

I know. I'm not saying it's bad or "wrong". It's just a potential problem for me because (1) I'm not worried about striking the guitar top with a pick and (2) at least on the one archtop I have, my fingers would scrape the back of the pickguard until I removed it.

The Guild pickguard might be shaped differently and not be a problem. I'd just have to play it and see.

$1149 is far less than I expected. Definitely interested.
