The Gibson SG Deluxe electric guitar is a versatile instrument in the studio, but it would be just criminal not to play this Gibson out in public. It's simply too beautiful not to be seen and appreciated. The glossy-finish AA figured maple top glistens beautifully under the stage lights, but when you get up close and personal it reveals the incredible depth and intricacy in its natural grain. With three switchable Gibson '57 Classic pickups onboard, the SG Deluxe can deliver everything from the warm hushed tones of a jazz balladeer, to the all-out punching power of the fiercest metal shredder.

Maghogany Body with AA Maple Top
The Gibson SG Deluxe is a guitar that really has to be seen to be believed. And while that figured maple top dazzles the eyes of your audience, the mahogany body and neck ensure an instrument the delivers amazing sustain and resonance. You can hold that note just as long as you like, son.

A Slender Neck For Faster Fingers
The SG Deluxe's neck is carved in the 1960s style slim profile design, which is notably more slender than the rounded design found on 1950s-era Gibson instruments like the Les Paul. The bound headstock and Split Diamond inlays are retained from original the SG design and perfectly accent the rich rosewood fretboard.

Bigsby Tailpiece and Grover Tuners
The hardware on the Gibson SG Deluxe is unique indeed. Whose idea was it to put a chrome Bigsby tailpiece on this sucker? Well, it's too late now. There's no going back from a decision like that! With the addition of the Bigsby, you'll be able to explore a new stylistic realms in your playings. Send your notes singing up and down with a tremelo that fits comfortably under the hand and offers maximum finesse. And equipped with the Grover Locking Kidney Tuners at top, you know that you'll be able to wail on your new tremelo while retaining maximal tuning stability across all six strings.

I love SG's, binding, green guitars and heck even Bigsbys. However when you put all those things together in one guitar the outcome doesn't seem that great.

Pass.

I love SG's. But that's hideous. With the puke green finish and the extra pickup it's just plain awful. I'll stick with my 2000 SG Special.

I really can’t imagine that too many people want this combination of color and hardware. Maybe this could work as a hardtail with two EMGs and a single knob for volume. But this looks like something Gravedigger would play if a monster truck could play guitar.

I love it, but I see the Bigsby getting in the way of the knobs, and that being a PITA. Maybe trade the Bigsby for a Floyd Rose and I'm all in on this.
