Getting a flu shot is somewhat like having superpowers

This was my first one. I was at the Doc's office for a checkup earlier this week and he asked me if I wanted one. I was like "Sure, why not"

I got sick as hell with the flu 2 years ago, which probably contributed to my decision.

I always struggle with getting one. Last year the shot made my wife so sick and apparently it was for a different strain of the flu than we had going around anyway so she got sick twice

My wife and I get one every year. Being a school teacher, those little vagabonds carry all kinds of strange germs and diseases.


Ironically, even if not everyone gets a flu shot, having at least half of the people getting the shot keeps the outbreaks contained to a minumum because there are less "passers" of the viruses. So if someone you know got a flu shot, you should thank them for taking one for the team.

Prages lives out in a very rural area.... he's more likely to be eaten by his own dogs than catch a virus like those who are in busy cities or public transportation areas.

I had one many moons ago and none since. I have never gotten the flu but my daughter did about 4 years ago. My wife has to get the shot since she works at a doctors office and is at risk...

I do too. It's only $25 and it beats getting the flu. although i still got the flu last year, that sucked hard.
