Philosophy essay question: Assuming that Glinda told the Munchkins the truth, why didn't they burn her at the stake at the end of the movie, and what does that say about the morality of the Munchkins?

And Baimun is so far to the left in the MWGL circle, I'm getting some chafing on the side of my face. :helper:

I saw it on Broadway with the kids many years ago. I'm not much of a Broadway fan, in general, but I remember thinking it was a clever twist on a classic tale. I don't remember a lot of details though. My question now, looking back, is which witch was it that got crushed by the house. It wasn't Glinda or Elphaba, right? So who was it?

Edit: Nevermind, there's a whole write-up on Wikipedia...of course.

It was Catherine the Great. Oh wait - did you say HOUSE? My bad, messed up by one letter...

This is as close as I've been to Broadway.

Could you imagine Neil as an unknown performing this on America's Got Talent?

I'm not sure I'm the target audience, but I saw the show once on Broadway and once with a touring company and really liked the movie. As for the question in the OP, I think the plot is more a flashback of Glinda's than a monologue to the Munchkins, though it's really not either because she wasn't there for all of the events in the plot. In short, you're thinking too hard.

Im sick to death of just hearing

Because I knew you
I have been changed for good

Whenever this movie is introduced and it sounds poo and although Im clearly going against the will of the people I don't want to see it. Also the actress with the green face is apparently hated by the Internet Police. Or something like that. Therefore as a user of the internet I have no choice but to now hate her too.

1) Buckle up, because that song doesn't even show up in this, the first act of the musical. When they're re-saturating the ad space for the second act, I imagine they'll hit that even harder, since it's from maybe the only decent song in the second act.
2) The actress (I don't know how to spell her name) did a dumb thing on the Internet, but the "Internet Police" sure seem eager to condemn both women and people of color, so she didn't have much of a chance with them.
