Looks like it'll finally be gone now :(
It's been rotting away for some time, shame as it was a state of the art studio where artists like Rush, April Wine, David Bowie, Cat Stevens, Nazareth, Bryan Adams, The Bee Gees, Celine Dion, The Police, Chicago, Rainbow, Queensryche, Sarah McLachlan, etc. etc. all used.
A few Rush die-hard fans had been trying to buy it/get it restored for some time now without success. I think the owners weren't interested in selling or some such, yet these fans would ask for donations to help restore it
I'm sure they were scams as if you don't own said property, how are you going to be able to do work on it?
Anyways, it's all moot now. The article says over 2/3's of it went up in smoke.
