I quit watching local and national news over a decade ago, I only get occasional news through the internet , MWGF's Tumblr, etc ....needless to say I'm usually clueless on what people are talking about until i google it :embarrassed:
 
There are TV's in our break rooms at work. They are all tuned to CNN.

Usually late at night we get Anthony Bourdain during my lunch break. My last break is generally news highlights. Ms. Crane was on last night :)

It has really suffered in the days of cable news, Internet news, and talk radio.

But great journalism still exists.

As a whole, though, this election cycle is a prime example of how the media has failed the general public.

Note that I am absolutely loathe to describe 'the media' in general terms; I find that mindset to be counterproductive and even destructive.

But seriously, though - fuck cable news and its fucking celebrity anchors.

Yeah, a lot of people like to refer to "the media" as this huge, monolithic beast. It's not like all us media people get together each week to figure out new ways we're going to screw Trump.
