Experience or opinions on the Hagstrom "Tremar" trem unit

Curious how the work as compared to some form of Bigsby on a semi. Some day I would consider doing that mod on my Viking.

I really have no idea without having seen or used one. I picture of it installed on the guitar would help.

I think that's what in the second pic. The pile of parts in the first pic doesn't equal the completed unit in the second pic.

Oh yeah, I pulled the wrong pic. I will fix that.

Actually, I looked, and this is what comes on the guitars from the factory. http://www.hagstromguitars.eu/index.php?option=com_zoo&task=item&item_id=90&category_id=9&Itemid=6 I must have pulled the wrong part from the parts store I found. I will fix that instead. But after looking that is the only part I find online on a quick search. I would have to contact the company to see if you can get the part separately.

All that said, what do you guys think of this part?

I don't know, but I would make sweet love to that guitar.

Bigsbys work great if they are properly setup and maintained. String gauge makes a difference too.

Mine would look similar to the top red one, with dots instead of trapezoid markers, and different knobs. Might be fun to do, but I do love the guitar as is. I do have to address a little fret sprout though.
