it is...I take it you have a bit of know about it then. These are grown adults obsessed with Mickey and gand but even more so i think with brand Disney. The vloggers are next level though. apparently Disney Florida has reopened and Disney california is getting ready to and these people are going bonkers. as if Disney were their god and the meaning of life. i mean they all seem to know each othewr too...it's like a network, like Amway or herbalife or somethingI had a boss whose office was filled with Disneyana. I thought it was totally creepy...
That could be said about any group of people who are really into one particular thing. Big Lebowski fanatics. Seinfeld fanatics. Railroad fanatics. So many possibilities.

yeah but Sonny is a kid he's only 4....he should be obsessed with Disney.....
I don’t see how it’s any worse than guitar collectors.
It's not associated with any skills.
Because there aren’t any guitar collectors with no skill.

yeah I saw that new method the other day. I still like the older method of for the first few years they age like 7 years to 1 human and then it starts increasing like every year for the next few is like 12 years or something. So a dog at 4 would be like 28 in human years and a dog at 10 would be like 110....but ob viously most hiumans don't live that long so ......head assplodes !The findings suggest a one-year-old dog would have a “human age” of about 30, while by the age of four they’d be about 54 in “human years”

nodo you know about Disneyana conventions?
I’ve worked with a few Disney adults and some people I knew when I was a kid/teen have grown up to be Disney adults—multiple trips to the theme parks each year, keeping abreast of Disney “news,” buying/collecting merch, etc.
It’s weird and square and not my bag at all, but in a socio-cultural situation where all identity is to some extent mediated through and defined by consumption, it’s not surprising that Disney adults (or Star Wars people or Harry Potter grown ups or Marvel fanbois) exist. I’m not really that keen on the Disney aesthetic/worldview. The movies never really crawled into my brain and the early cartoons are lackluster compared to Looney Tunes and I’ve got little patience for the Disney brand of wholesome nostalgia small town golly gee magic. I’ve not been to a Disney theme park for 20+ years, so maybe they’re cool now...but aside from sort of a meta analysis of how they work/happen, they’re boring and unccharming—though I do recall a fair amount of engagement with the kitschy likes of the Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain which are both amusing little attractions.
