Did dunkin donuts change their coffee?

Ack
Usually drink DD coffee when on the road, have loved their coffee in the past. The last three times I've been to a DD (all different ones) the coffee has been downright awful. Seriously considering never going there again.

I know DD's coffee is popular on the east coast but don't get it. I think there coffee has always been bad.

It could just be the location.

There was a DD in Three Rivers, MI years ago that was shut down by the health dept. Not knowing the place was filthy, I stopped at the drive thru there and got a coffee and donut because my stomach was growling, and I was on my way to Chicago. I took one bite of the donut and one sip of the coffee and threw them both out, they were vile. I was already on the road by then, so I didn't turn around and go back.

I work with a lot of people that live in Three Rivers, and they all said they didn't eat there, the place was nasty. I wish I would've known that prior to stopping. They were shut down a couple of months later, and the place has been empty ever since, no one's ever tried to reopen it.

I know some folks never liked their coffee, but I always have, in the past.

It's not the location; I've had 3 different cups of coffee from 3 different locations and they are all now consistently bad. Not happy.

Never liked starbucks, couldn't and still can't understand the popularity of it.

Dunkin just added a new "dark" roast, in another shitty attempt to compete with Starbucks. Are you guys sure they're not giving that crap to you by default?

Also, Starbucks sucks.

Many East Coast people prefer darker coffee that’s low in caffeine and has more complex flavors. DD is often the only place to get that; everybody else serves scorched blends made from shitty Columbian and Brazilian blends. I’m not saying that it’s great coffee, but it’s better than anything you can get at Starbucks.

Anyway, coffee at the DD here in Boulder was the same last week as it has been for years.

My daughter has been working at the coffee bar at Nordstrom's. She gets a good discount on beans and brings home some exotic varieties. Peruvian, African all with tastes and subtleties I never experienced with coffee before.

I've loved the dark burnt Starbucks roasts but these are amazing.
