You live in a part of the country where that is an enviable thing.

This is what I can get from the sandwich shop nextdoor for $9.00

Actually that sounds pretty good for me. I'll probably be having a variation of this:

Brown rice, egg whites, Jalepenos and lots of Tapatio....not as bad as it looks and it fits into my diet.

I have only found this ONE place that does a good cheesesteak. I have never had one in Philly, but these suckers are really good. Its like 5 bucks for the sandwich and fries and its less than a block from my office, so its perfect for quick and cheap. Plus, it is owned by a former intern of mine, so its cool to give him business.

We do have some other good sammich places, just not for cheesesteaks.

Reported!!!!!

I have a hard time bringing myself to buy a Philly Cheesesteak around here, because people that have had real ones from back east tell me not to bother, its not even close to the same thing. Which is disheartening, cause i dont see myself visiting philly any time soon.

I'd sure like to find a place around here that has an "authentic" one.

We actually have the "Phillys Best" cheesestake chain out here and they are OK but I like the ones from next door better. They just cost a lot.....

The place next door to us makes really good food, its just kind of expensive. When Help!I'maRock! was out a month or tow ago thats where we had lunch...

But how can you go wrong with steak in a sandwich?

I guess they say its not just steak, its marinaded or spiced in some certain way that lazier places out here dont bother doing.

BASTARDS.

;D

The place next to us is Korean owned so everything is a little different but tasty. Definitely not traditional.

Sure....

I show up back here and the first thing I see is Chihili taunting me with a killer cheese steak. I'm having some kind of Indian frozen meal for lunch... :'(
