No idea who did the deed, but it's a student guitar from the early 70s.
Dorado by Gretsch. Apparently, Baldwin imported these from Japan and the Gretsch name is more of a marketing thing than reality.
It played rather well though. A bit of time with the truss rod and it would be a decent player.
