I wouldn't buy a Benedetto that wasn't a 7-string.

Jazz players typically tune the low string down to A to accommodate bass lines. Just think - the 5th and 7th strings are tuned the same way.



Anyway, if I did but a Benedetto, I'd buy a more traditional archtop rather than a high-end 335. I've already kind of got one, with the Collings.
 
I think the black hardware makes it look cheap. Which is a shame because it's a Benedetto and it's not.
 
I am not digging that finish, or the extra string........I'm sure it plays nicely and sounds great, but I'd choose a different one.
 
VERY nice (and yes, I don't mind the black hardware)! I'm sure that like your typical Benedetto, it's insanely expensive.
