This takes me back to the early 70s when I worked as a cemetery grounds keeper. We mostly used a backhoe to dig graves but would have to dig graves by hand if the ground was too wet for the backhoe. The cemetery had a real ground water problem.

At the time it was. I had this hippie-dippy idea of "getting back to the land" and pictured myself like this:
Of course, the reality was quite different. I was in good shape, though.
