Before Dean, Michael Schenker's only authorized signature guitar was this one from the mid 80's. I bought this years ago from a seller in Japan, and it hasn't left the house since. Really hard to come by, this is something every Schenker fan needs to have! I've only run into a couple of these, very few and far between.

Some of the gold has tarnished and has some honest playwear but it is in really great shape for it's age. A few dings here and there, and one on the top headstock point. The nut functions well but it has a weird discoloration or fix as you can see in the pics. The pictures show everything really well, right down to the coveted mmk 45 pickups. It has a metal shim in the neck, was there when I got it and works so I left it in. Original square Aria XX case too, with a couple stickers on it.

I also have a clean Aria pro2 XX flying V listed, if you're an Aria freak like me let's make a package deal!
Check my feedback, I'm a good seller. Pack well, ship quick and it comes from a smoke free home. Look at all the pictures, and ask any questions as it's a used item.

Every time I see a V and mention of Schenker I must tell my tale......It's 1977 and a friend of mine tells me the brother of his girlfriend is coming to my gig with a guitar I might want. Says its Michael Schenkers. I was a big fan back then but thought this story was bullshit. Dude comes to gig with 2 V's, handles covered with airline tags from around the world. Open the cases and sure enough 2 of Schenkers V's. He wanted 500.00 for both, I might have had $20.00 in my pocket! Turns out this dude was a BIG coke dealer and UFO had defaulted on a large payment. Had all their gear. Dude was mobbed up too! Oh the things we miss............................................

I generally dislike V's, but this one being a Pro II intrigues me.

I've been thinking of busting out my Pro II Explorer type (ZZ Deluxe) for the next Obscure80's show, but it's an angry little vixen with a super hot Duncan in the bridge and I'm not sure I can tame the beast enough to work with what I usually play. I love it though.

It's lovely, in it's way, but it certainly isn't $1,000 worth of guitar. Which prompts an observation/question: this guy is likely overpricing because he's "an Aria freak" and assumes that there must be other people out there just like him, right? RIGHT?

How do you (gently) let someone know that their obsession does not justify doubling the price of a used piece of gear?
