For those who aren’t, It’s kind of a medical show meets the Love Boat…
Every week they introduce new guest stars and passengers on a high end luxury cruise ship captained by Don Johnson with Joshua Jackson (Pacey from Dawson’s Creek) as the ship’s head doctor.
So SPOILER ALERT if you aren’t watching yet….
Dr Max Bankman explains that he was Patient Zero during covid and spent months in a coma and after coming around took this job on the cruise ship.
Here’s my theory while watching this series… some of the stuff that happens is so zany and unbelievable, I think that he’s still in the coma. Everyone that “interacts” with him on the ship are people that are coming in and out of his room.
Ever since I told this theory to my wife, we keep making note of people stepping on the ship and saying “this place is such a dream” or in the current episode, there are rubber ducks being placed all over the ship with discussions of how bad they are for the environment. Makes me wonder if people are placing rubber ducks in his room.
My hope is they pull the veil back at the end of the season, then next season he will interact with all of these same people in real life and we will have to go back and forth (like him) as to what theyre like in real life versus from his fever dreams.
