Approach for upcoming project, am I insane?

Dexter Inferno

Serious error
Thinking a bit about how to approach things with my new project, aiming for a whole album. Toying with the idea of doing just 2-3 singles for the streaming sites, but then making the album Bandcamp (or similar service) only. Is this crazy? Not really any money in this anyway, and I suppose the ones who would want the whole album would go off Spotify anyway if they were interested. Anyone ever tried anything like this?
Also, one other idea is releasing the whole thing on BC a week or two before doing the streaming bastards.

Guess I want to try something different this time, and I really don't want to focus my whole thing on Shitify these days. Not like my stuff is playlist sort of material any way.

Suppose I'd rather 2 great listeners rather than 20 who couldn't give a shit.

I think it's an interesting idea for sure. Try it! You can always put the album up on other sites after a while too. Just make it exclusive to Bandcamp for the first three months or something.

I'm putting together a live-in-studio solo album, and I'm doing physical releases and putting the whole thing as one long video on YouTube. My band albums are on all the streamers, and aside from a few bucks in revenue over the last decade, having 16 fans in Manitoba and a guy in Slovakia listening to our second album on repeat didn't do us any good. I don't know what the future is, but it ain't building nuclear reactors so some tech sociopath can profit off my content.

I have a few friends who are completely off physical media, so putting it on YouTube with give them access.

Do a Wu Tang one single vinyl album thing with a non disclosure that it can never be released to the public. Charge only $10,000
