Anyone ever heard of Sakura guitars?

24 Steel Wheels of Shoegaze
I'm at work today (thrift store) and we have a sakura acoustic that is very nice looking, plays well. i can't get it until friday but i was wondering if anyone had any experience or heard of them? It had, as far as i could tell, rosewood back and sides, and a solid spruce top. Very nice, made in japan.

Want so bad.

Better get it, or you'll regret it.
I had a Yoyoshi years ago. A cheap OOO-18 size guitar that I would love to have back.

I google Sakura guitars and they are distributed through alibaba and can be had for $30 each when purchased in large quantities.

But, ya know... Play it. If it feels okay and you can get it a good price, then there's nothing wrong with that. About the only bad thing I'd say is that you should consider it disposable when it starts to get worn out. It's probably not worth a fret job if it ever came to that.

I'm not going to knock them because they are made in China, but usually the stuff that gets distributed on sites like alibaba is bulk stuff and you never know what you're going to get and they are not typically sold in traditional music stores where they might get a setup.

Maybe the way to sum it up: based on researching them online, I'd never touch one. If I picked one up someplace and it played good enough, I probably wouldn't care what logo was on the headstock or where it was made - but they would factor into how much I'd be willing to pay because of the disposable factor.
