I have an extra pair of tickets for the Sugar Bowl!

We bought tickets at 50 yard line upper deck for $275 each… but because so many people couldnt renegotiate their travel for the postponed game, I was able to snag a pair down by the Notre Dame bench for $70 each!

I was going to try and sell our upper tickets for peanuts, but I’ll give them to anyone local. :baimun:

Too slow…. My tickets already sold on Ticketmaster. I didn’t make any money, but it only cost me about $40 to move from the nosebleeds to behind the ND Bench.

If you want to see/hear my interview with our local news in South Bend, Im in the second video link. Many of the photos and the fireworks videos in the segment were from me as well. :helper:

The volume difference between you and everything else was brutal. Kept turning volume up and down depending on who was talking.

Despite that, I did enjoy your reporter on the spot segment. I didn't find it at all disturbing and I definitely never thought about how you started a thread for SDOTD and probably have a deep desire to be called Amy.

So Ohio St, Notre Dame, Penn St and Texas are the final four. Do you think the CFP changed the Final Four, or would those four have been chosen anyway?

I'm not too surprised Georgia lost, given their starting QB was out. Oregon, however, choked massively. Boise and ASU were ranked higher than they should have been, IMO...although ASU gave Texas all they could handle.

For any fantasy football folks out there, my advice is to pick up rookie Cam Skattebo next year as a late round draft pick. That kid is something special and will probably be a successful RB in the NFL next year.

@shoeless My brother in law and I were talking about the playing field between Big Ten and Notre Dame versus the SEC teams being leveled since the NIL is allowing schools to legally pay players, and the transfer portal enticing players to play at a different school this year instead of riding the bench at an SEC school for 2 or 3.

NIL and transfer portal have definitely changed the college landscape dramatically. I'm not sure it's for the better.

I’m not too far away, but haven’t logged on in a while. Not sure that I would’ve made it to the game, but would’ve loved to come down and meet for a drink despite the bullshit in the quarter!

I don’t normally do the quarter anyway, and I bet I could’ve convinced you to go some place else. You seem like pretty thirsty guy.

The best live music we found was on Frenchman Street. I bought a cool Prince vinyl (live in France) at a shop on that street.

Yeah bro, Frenchman is great. That’s about as close as I’ll willingly go to the quarter these days. Still walkable for folks that haven’t had the quarter experience and everybody who likes to party a bit should at least once. That’s where I usually meet out of towners who are looking for a taste of the quarter.

There are killer bands up and down bourbon, but they are definitely doing a job, not necessarily inspiring, unless you have an appreciation for the grind that life is for the players or a strong appreciation for neon colored test tube shots and human depravity.

Was this your first time in NOLA?

@rhino Yeah, our first trip to NOLA. It has some similarities with Nashville and Key West, but we enjoyed our trip for the most part… and of course the Notre Dame game was probably the most exciting sporting event I’ve ever attended.

It’s a special city for sure. I hate that what happened happened. Unfortunately, violence and crime is part of it, but obviously it’s not usually like that. I was really shaken up by that… I can’t imagine what that must’ve been like for you guys being down there for the first time. Hopefully y’all got to experience some of the city’s charm anyways.

Not sure what y’all say, but Geaux Irish or whatever. :)
