Anatomy Fun: Moveable bone in your hand...

Step 1: locate the bump on the palm side of your hand's pink side (palmar ulnar)

Step 2: grab the bump with your thumb and index finger

Step 3: relax hand and wrist, then begin to move from side to side

You just moved your pisiform bone!!! I bet you never knew you had a moveable bone like that in your hand!

Your hand is made up of more than just fingers (digits), you have two rows of smaller bones that make up the lower portion of your palm/your wrist called carpal bones.

On top of one of those bones (the triquetrum) is a the smallest of the hand bones, the pisiform! And it is unique because it has a small joint and can be moved!
