An observation while clicking by the Lost in Space marathon

Dr Smith is easily the most annoying character ever on television. Even after 50 years of last watching LIS, I see him on the screen and I want to punch him in the head. If it was my spaceship lost in space, he's left on the first planet.

I have to agree with you. He played an asshole when it wasn't polite to call him that. Thing was, he was playing a villain character as it was written. Mark Goddard did a radio interview here in Lowell some years ago. (Mark was born here.) In it, he said that Jonathan spent much time thinking of new insults to throw at the robot.

That was, perhaps, the dumbest show I ever loved as a kid. It was wonderful when I was eight, and I thought Penny was tres hot!
