Do you think when he’s not using his sled to criss cross the globe and deliver presents ai am pretty sure he drives a Fiat Palio. What an interesting cat.

I like to imagine my Santa Claus driving a 1972 Fiat 124 Spider singing lead vocals for Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Ah yes, the classic 850 Spyder. Our next door neighbor when I was very young had one in lime green. Another neighbor around the corner had a blue one. I was infatuated with those silly machines.

my dad had one when i was 15. it's how i learned to work a clutch and stick shift. i had been driving the tractors for years, but that's not the same, they usually don't shift on the fly. we used to go to a big public park and i'd learn to drive. it was a great car to learn in, cuz it really can't get away from you very easily. :baimun:

Some day I will have another X1/9. I've had 6 of them in total but the last one was 25 years ago. Possibly the most perfectly balanced car ever made, and WAY ahead of it's time. This was a car that in 1972 had a Bertone chassis built on a tubular stell monocoque that was insanely sturdy, beautiful to look at, and even shared several parts directly with a Countach. 4 wheel independent suspension, 4 wheel disc brakes, mid-engine... incredible bang for the buck. The only issue they had throughout their long run was a lack of horsepower. But, not such a bad thing in the hands of most drivers because you literally couldn't force that car out of control.

There's a company in the midwest that restores and modifies them and they do incredible work. Most of their customers have a modern Abarth motor from the 500 dropped in. When I do mine, it will go old school with the once common Alfa 3.0 V6 swap. And it will look like this:
