Adios Fernando Valenzuela

Urban Bovine Knievel
Legendary lefty pitcher Fernando Valenzuela passed away, only 63.

I can't claim to have been a fan, since he played for the Doyers, who were very much our rivals back then. But he was a freaking amazing pitcher. And he always, always kicked the Astros asses. :flamemad:

RIP

He was making a come back years ago and played a game at the Richmond Braves ballpark in Richmond Va. Got to catch him there. Have some pictures around here somewhere

RIP

I had the pleasure of seeing him pitch twice at Dodgers stadium. He was amazing. I was all in on Fernandomania. He was also the Dodger's Spanish-speaking baseball commentator since 2003.
They honored him at Dodger's Stadium last year. He was much thinner than I had remembered. I thought that meant he was in good health.
