WTF: 7-11 Breakfast Pizza

7-Eleven is offering a breakfast pizza.

The convenience store chain says that it combines the convenience of eating leftover pizza for the first meal of the day with traditional breakfast foods.

The chain announced the creation Tuesday. It has a biscuit crust topped with bacon, sausage, ham, scrambled eggs, cheese and cream gravy. 7-Eleven vice president Nancy Smith bills it as "a hearty option for customers craving a warm breakfast."

The Irving, Texas-based company says hot pizza has become one of its biggest ready-to-eat sellers, and mornings are the busiest time of day in its stores.

During test runs, 7-Eleven says the breakfast pizza became its second-most popular pizza with customers.

"A hearty option"? Sounds more like a heart-stopping option.

Pretty much anything sold warm at 7-11 is bound to put you on the toilet for extended periods of time. I like breakfast foods a lot and that just sounds gross, especially considering the source.

:chow2:

I can't comment on 7-11 food because I haven't eaten anything from their since college, but breakfast pizza is awesome. I used to run a pizza place and I used to make them all the time when I opened. You take the dough and instead of sauce you cover it in uncooked scrambled eggs, then throw on some green peppers, onions, bacon a bad sausage and put it in the over.

Mozza used to (I'm sure still does, but I'm no longer able to eat it on the semi-regular) pizza with bacon, potato and egg (not scrambled, cracked over whole, so it ends up like a fried egg with a runny yolk) that was amazing.

Also sorely missed from LA are khachapuri, which are basically an armenian/georgian breakfast pizza...

Chicago is nice and all, but damn..

That sounds delectable....
I agree that breakfast pizza is the shit. Not so sure about 7-11
b-fast pizza...

I got a breakfast pizza from Walmart when I was 19, and it was good. I still think about it. It doesn't hurt that I was pretty hung over.

I make a breakfast style pizza every so often. I go w/ a thin cracker style crust, bacon, egg yokes, green onions, super thin sliced fingerling potatoes & a smidge of cheddar cheese

Gas station breakfast pizza? Pass.
