Fernandes FMG Series Mockingbird
I got this guitar in early 80's from a guy that brought it back from Japan. Fernandes made these in the late 70's / early 80's, and it's hard to tell the difference between these and the BC Rich models. Same wood, neck-thru body, DiMarzio pickups, BADASS bridge, Grover tuners and electronics. I rarely see these available anymore, and people can't believe how exact they are to the BC Rich models.
In the late 80's I had a Washburn Wonderbar locking tremolo installed (now removed) The guitar plays plays great, but needs a little TLC. The frets could use polishing and a some small holes filled on the top from where the Wonderbar and nut were mounted. Easy to do for someone who knows what they're doing. Original nut is still installed.
The electronics all work; master volume and tone controls, preamp volume control, 3 way pickup selector switch, 5 position Varitone rotary switch, bridge and neck pickup coil tap switches and preamp switch. Preamp runs off a 9v battery, same as a BC Rich.
